Welcome to West View Baptist Church

This website has been developed to introduce you to our church family and give an insight into our many minsitries and activities that take place all year round. We are a church that is dedicated to serving the communtiy and have a passion and vision of being church here and now which has been our key ambition in the spreading of the Good News of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

West View Baptist Church, Hartlepool, UK

This is our current building where we hold worship each week. We have been fund-raising to refurbish and extend this church building for a number of years and we thank all those who have financially and through prayer supported this vision. We continue to seek donations and would love to hear from anyone wishing to help us in our mission.
We are committed to seving our Lord in the furtherance of His Kingdom in Hartlepool by being strong in faith and direct in action.

Our History...

Since 1955, there has been a strong Christian minsitry in West View. This was due to the sending out of a group of faithful members of Regent Street Baptist Church (Now Headland Baptist Church) in order to, initially, establish a children's ministry.

So for over 50 years we have built up a strong family focused church, aiming to meet the needs of people in our area and along the way, show them practically through our caring acts how Jesus Christ is the true Lord and Saviour of all.

Take a look at this video from GodTube.Com which graphically depicts the way Jesus wants to love us and be in relationship with us!
He gave everything. He carried that heavy, rough and humiliating cross for YOU!
Try watching this and telling us it was all meaningless!
We're sure you won't be able too.

The Vision of West View Baptist Church

The church exists to carry out the Great Commission and the Great Commandment through 5 core purposes, under the umbrella of ‘Being Church Here and Now’:

- Evangelism: Eager to communicate Christ to the world

- Ministry: Practical and Prayerful in our concern for others

- Discipleship: Committed to lead people toward Christian maturity

- Worship: Passionate about worship that honours God

- Fellowship: Striving to build an inclusive, loving, Christian community

"I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."

Philippians 3:12-14
